The recent exploration success of OMV and ExxonMobil in Romania has encouraged other Black Sea states to work harder to unlock their offshore reserves: important agreements have been signed and a number of large consortia have been created.
Global Business Club is proud to announce the inaugural Black Sea Offshore Conference, 29 – 31 October in Bucharest – an ideal business platform for all companies who are involved in the Black Sea oil and gas industry, as well as those who wish to enter this attractive market.
Programme at a glance:
- · 29 October, Geology Focus-Day will concentrate on the assessment of hydrocarbon resource potential, the most advanced reserve estimation methods for the ultra-deep waters of the Black Sea, and the latest case studies in the successful acquisition of the most recent geophysical data;
- · 30 – 31 October, Black Sea Offshore Conference will feature presentations on the regulatory framework for deep-water exploration, cooperation with NOCs and IOCs, the development of transportation infrastructure, and safe technologies for drilling in the deep waters of the Black sea.
There will be a separate discussion dedicated to the optimal conditions for mutually beneficial cooperation between national and international companies working in the Black Sea, and a special section exploring practical guidance on minimising HSE risks and oil spill prevention.
The major oil and gas companies, drilling and geology technology providers, government officials and academics from various countries will come together to discuss the potential of key offshore blocks in the Black Sea.
Among invited speakers are representatives from the leading oil and gas companies, working in the Black Sea, including OMV, Eni, ExxonMobil, Repsol, Shell, Total, TPAO, Lukoil Overseas, Naftogaz of Ukraine and Rosneft.
The conference is supported by Association of Drilling Contractors (Russia), Geological Society of Romania (SGR), Romanian Energy Centre (ROEC), SPE Romanian Section, Ukrainian Union of Drilling Contractors.
